Since Mac Miller’s death last September, little information has surfaced about his catalog of unreleased music. While we still don’t know if a posthumous album will be released, Thelonious Martin did reveal that Mac had at least one project recorded. In an interview with DJBooth, he said that Mac has an album with producer Madlib that he never put out.

If Madlib decides to bless the world with that project, he should.”
Miller and Madlib have just one previously released collaboration—2014’s “Piñata”with Freddie Gibbs—but it seems they have far more material in the vault.

Martin explained that overall, he wouldn’t want Mac’s material released without the rapper there to oversee it. “I feel like, an album is such a personal conversation to have and the person’s not there to sign off on it,” he said. “He had a ton of music that was completely different from what the public would get… I don’t like posthumous albums, I don’t.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Martin revealed that Mac’s 2018 album, Swimming, was originally called Guidelines.
“[It] was the title of the track we had put out at the time,” he said. “Initially, that was the title track. We were having these long conversations about putting together an album, cause I’m telling him about how I’m putting together mine. We’re going back and forth about how to touch an audience, how to make an audio world.”
“Guidelines” dropped on August 20, 2018, the final Mac Miller song released during the rapper’s lifetime.
